3rd Local Steering Committee Meeting

The EU4ETTR project's 3rd Local Steering Committee Meeting was held online on November 29, 2022. The meeting highlighted Türkiye's 2053 net-zero target and inter-institutional cooperation efforts. Notable speakers included Ms. Rasa Suraučienė, Mr. Ričardas Degutis, Ms. Beyza Turan, and Mr. Abdulkadir Bektaş.

Ms. Daiva Matonienė provided a comprehensive update on the achievements over the past six months within the project. She emphasized the progress made in various outputs such as the development of SECAPs, regional cooperation, and small-scale project implementations. The efforts and successes of municipalities like Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Bağcılar Municipality, Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, and Melikgazi Municipality in climate action were also presented. The meeting concluded with plans for the next six months, focusing on continuing the MLGP pilot implementation, completing SECAPs, supporting small-scale projects, and developing strategies and detailed MLGP structures for observer municipalities.
