Capacity Building Trainings: Baseline Emission Inventory Preparation

Within the scope of the EU4 Energy Transition Project, Baseline Emission Inventory Preparation trainings were held with observer municipalities on 05, 12 and 26 April 2023. Prof. Dr. Sıddık Cindoruk focused on the following topics on Emission Inventory:

• Data collection 
• Calculation approach 
• CIRIS 
• Unit selection 
• Emission factors 
• Base year selection
• Energy balance utilization 
• Uncertainty analysis 

Ms. Ebru Göçen from Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and Ms. Esra Yüce from Bağcılar Municipality made presentations on review and analysis of their municipal practices. The training was concluded with the presentations of the municipalities on their monthly activities and general evaluation.
