Capacity Building Trainings: Finance

On 10 and 23 June and 10 July 2023, trainings on Finance by Expert Mr. Arūnas Gražulis were held with observer municipalities within the EU4 Energy Transition project. The trainings focused on the following topics:

• IPA System in Türkiye
• Municipalities' Presentations on their Work and Evaluation 
• Funding sources for Turkish partners engaged in SECAP-related activities
• Recommendations for financing mitigation and adaptation actions under SECAPs and turning them into credible ideas 
• Municipalities' Presentations on their Work and Work Evaluation

The training provides some tips for a fundable project idea: 

• When describing your project, be as descriptive as if you were explaining it to someone who has no idea about the subject, 
• Include in detail the indirect benefits and consequences of the planned project once it is realized, 
• Explain how your idea will solve local problems, as well as the benefits regionally, 
• Consider national laws for the idea you want to realize. If national rules are supportive of the project, include them in the content of your project, 
• For EU project applications, assess whether your project idea would look favorable in terms of EU Competition Law, 
• Be concise, comprehensive and simple in your project presentation, your project should be well presented in 3 minutes.
