EU4ETTR Project at MARUF23 with the Western Balkans and Türkiye Climat...

EU4ETTR organized two climate action events at the Marmara Urban Forum (MARUF), organized by the Marmara Municipalities Association (MMU), to exchange experiences between the countries of the Western Balkans and Türkiye!

The first session How to Boost Energy Transition: Insights from the Western Balkans and Türkiye showed the way to energy transition in cities. 
The session provided an opportunity to benefit from good practice examples, underlined the importance of SECAPs as a strategic document and the power of local authorities in climate action, presented concrete project implementations for SECAPs by high-level representatives from the Western Balkans and Türkiye, and shared insights on the EU4 Energy Transition project.

The second panel discussion focused on the Foundation for Energy Transition in Cities, providing guidance on energy transition and attracting funding in cities. The session explored strategies for effective financing and collaboration models, hosted sector experts on the implementation of energy transition projects, gave participants the opportunity to benefit from good practice examples, and concluded with networking with global experts.
