Aug 29, 2025Green Missions in Antalya: Türkiye–Lithuania Climate Finance Journey Has Started!
Access to climate finance is one of the most critical challenges for local governments on their green transition journey. Responding to this need, the #GM4Finance – Green Missions for Climate Finance: Türkiye–Lithuania Peer Learning for Energy-Smart Municipalities Project has officially kicked off today, hosted by Antalya Metropolitan Municipality.
📌 About the project
Developed with the participation of municipalities, NGOs, academia, and experts from Türkiye and Lithuania, GM4Finance aims to strengthen local governments’ capacities in climate finance, improve access to national and international funds, and share best practices.

The Green Missions for Climate Finance program, hosted by Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, focused on climate dunding opportunities, AI-assisted project design, advanced project management, interactive Lego Serious Play workshops, and will close with the engaging “Climate Hero” game.
📌 The event also drew attention in local media: Antalya Deputy Mayor Büşra Özdemir highlighted the city’s ambition to become climate-resilient with expanding solar projects, while EU4ETTR Team Leader Daiva Matonienė underlined Antalya’s strong potential in eco-tourism, agriculture, and sustainable growth.
