IMM SECAP Disclosure Event

The launch of the İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan (SECAP) was successfully and enthusiastically carried out on November 27th with the aim of introducing and celebrating the actions to be taken for İstanbul's sustainable future!

During the historic launch event, supported by the EU4ETTR, Mr. Ekrem İmamoğlu, the Mayor of İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality, revealed the vision and plan for the city's sustainable energy and climate goals.

Key stakeholders emphasizing İstanbul's determined role in combating climate change and promoting sustainable energy usage also participated in the event. The launch highlighted İstanbul's commitment to climate change, energy transformation goals, and the importance of community participation.

The İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan includes:

·       Increasing the use of sustainable energy in the city

·       Reducing the carbon footprint and controlling greenhouse gas emissions

·       Strategic goals and action steps for combating climate change

·       Education and awareness projects to enhance community participation

·       Concrete emission mitigation and adaptation actions
