Sep 29, 2023EU4ETTR hosted the International Cooperation, Project Development and Financing Working Group Meeting of the Multi-Level Governance Platform!
In the meeting; MLGP Progress, the studies carried out for the evaluation of project proposals for the implementation of the actions identified in the SECAPs were presented. The meeting shared information about Marmara Urban Forum, which will be held on 4-6 October 2023, and mentioned local and international cooperation opportunities with this international event. As an excellent example of a project funded by the EU4ETTR project, Melikgazi Municipality's successfully completed "Solar City Project" was also presented to the meeting participants.
During the meeting, several key presentations were delivered by experts. Ms. Daiva Matonienė, EU4ETTR Project Team Leader in Türkiye, and Dr. Ahmet Cihat Kahraman, Environmental Management Coordinator of MMU, provided an overview of previous WG2 results, the project proposal evaluation methodology, and the targeted outcomes from the meeting.
Ms. Özge Sivrikaya, International Cooperation Expert of MMU, followed with a presentation on the Marmara Urban Forum and the opportunities it offers for international partnerships. Mr. Özcan Caymaz, International Relations Expert from Melikgazi Municipality, introduced *The Solar City Project* of Melikgazi Municipality.
Later, a discussion session focused on sub-project ideas and technical and financial feedback for improvement, with possible partnerships being explored. This session was led by Ms. Jurate Lepardiniene and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Mete Saatçi, experts of the EU4ETTR project.
