İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality Brainstorming Meeting

EU4ETTR project hosted  İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) for a brainstorming meeting on April 27, 2022, to explore funding opportunities and develop project ideas for implementing the Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan (SECAP). The meeting brought together IMM representatives and international expert who discussed aligning projects with European Union (EU) donor objectives. Key funding programs, such as IPA, Horizon Europe, INTERREG, and LIFE, were presented, along with other financial sources like the European Investment Bank and World Bank. The session emphasized the importance of long-term planning, strategic partnerships, and international cooperation to secure funding for impactful projects.

During the meeting, participants proposed three innovative project ideas and these projects, which align with national and EU goals, were discussed as potential candidates for funding from programs such as Horizon Europe, IPA, and other international sources. The meeting concluded with a commitment to further develop these ideas and explore strategic funding opportunities.
