EU4ETTR organised the MLGP4Climate Financial Instruments and Funding Opportunities Workshop with the Platform partner GAP Fund on 5 May 2024.  

In cooperation with Gap Fund, EU4ETTR provided comprehensive information about financial instruments, funding opportunities and key points for preparation of winning project proposals. The workshop aimed to support municipalities by providing crucial insights on preparing SECAPs and identifying funding opportunities for climate actions.

• Funding Opportunities: Detailed presentations on various funding programs and practical experiences were shared.
• Insights from Melikgazi Municipality and Edirne Municipality on challenges, opportunities, and lessons learned.
• Interactive Training: Hands-on sessions on creating effective project proposals, logical frameworks were provided.

The workshop raised awareness of sustainable urbanisation approaches, financial instruments and funding opportunities, and strengthened the relationship between municipalities and the Gap Fund.
