The first session of the SECAP Targets & Scenarios training, held on 18 October 2023, was conducted by Mr. Mindaugas Stonkus, the international expert of the project, which witnessed high participation and fruitful exchange of ideas. Important points related to the issue were discussed, as listed below:
The second session of the SECAP Targets & Scenarios training, held on 27 October 2023, discussed the renewable energy sources and energy efficiency measures that our observer municipalities are planning to achieve their climate targets by 2030. The EU4ETTR expert, Mr Mindaugas Stonkus, emphasised the need for detailed calculations when setting targets and shared sample calculation methods with our municipalities.
The first session of the SECAP Reporting and Monitoring Actions Training, took place on 11 November 2023, with presentations from the EC Joint Research Centre (JRC). Ms Giulia Melica from the JRC gave the observer municipalities all the details on how SECAP reporting is done, the importance of monitoring, when and how it should be done. The training also covered common mistakes in SECAP reporting.
The second session of the SECAP Reporting and Monitoring training included a dynamic Interactive Group Discussion and presentations by our observer municipalities, with valuable insights from Ms Giulia Melica from JRC. The municipalities of Çiğli, Küçükçekmece, Yenimahalle and Edirne showed an outstanding effort in preparing insights, challenges and opportunities for their regions.
