
On July 6, 2022, the "Sustainable Energy and Climate Action for a Resilient City" workshop took place at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Şişli, Istanbul, as part of the EU4 Energy Transition project. The event brought together Turkish municipalities and international experts to discuss climate resilience, SECAP (Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans) development, and multi-level governance platforms. Key presentations covered the climate context, energy transition strategies, and adaptation actions, with case studies from Europe providing practical insights.
The workshop also featured discussions on how a multi-level governance platform could support local administrations in their climate actions. The event concluded with a breakout session focused on stakeholder needs and platform design, followed by a summary of key findings and recommendations for future collaboration among Turkish municipalities.
