Scope. Projects should support the implementation of the EU policy framework for CO₂ transport and storage infrastructure, addressing regulatory barriers, cross-border connections, technical harmonisation and investment needs.
Sectors. Carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS), CO₂ transport, geological storage, energy infrastructure, industrial decarbonisation and environmental policy.
Eligible applicants. Legal entity (including from Türkiye).
Key requirements. Projects should analyse market structures, costs, cross-border integration, interoperability, investment incentives, third-party access, liability, tariff regulation and ownership models. They should also assess the potential to repurpose existing infrastructure for CO₂ transport and renewable gases.
Funding & duration. Funding rate up to 100% under Horizon Europe rules. Total indicative budget: EUR 5 million. Expected EU contribution: approximately EUR 5 million for one project. Action type: Coordination and Support Action (CSA). The project duration should follow the final call conditions and proposed work plan. Project duration: 24-36 months.
