Scope. The programme supports the installation of advanced decarbonisation technologies, products, systems and infrastructure in Japan's JCM partner countries. Projects should achieve measurable greenhouse gas emission reductions while contributing to sustainable development in host countries. The programme aims to accelerate the deployment of proven low-carbon technologies and generate JCM credits that contribute to Japan's climate mitigation targets.
Sectors. Renewable energy, solar photovoltaics, energy efficiency, industrial decarbonisation, waste heat recovery, cogeneration, efficient cooling and refrigeration, energy management, sustainable infrastructure, low-carbon manufacturing and greenhouse gas emission reductio.
Eligible applicants. A Japanese entity must act as the representative participant of an international consortium comprising a Japanese entity and one or more foreign entities. Projects must be implemented in eligible JCM partner countries and comply with the programme's rules and requirements.
