Driving Urban Transition (DUT) 2024 Call

The 2024 call of the Driving Urban Transitions Partnership (DUT 2024 Call), established under the Horizon Europe Program, will support multi-partner, international research and/or innovation projects that address urban challenges to help cities transition to a more sustainable economy and functionality. The projects to be supported under the “DUT 2024 Call” will be financed by the national funding institutions of the countries after being evaluated by an international board of referees. The calls, which will support a variety of activities from strategic urban research to applied urban research or the implementation of urban innovations, are open to interdisciplinary studies.

Partnership calls are grouped under three themes called “Transition Pathways (TP):

15-Minute Cities Transition Pathway,

  • 15mC topic 1 – Advancing urban mobility: innovations for inclusive and youthcentric mobility systems
  • 15mC topic 2 – Reconsidering urban mobility systems: towards system innovation and proximity policies for sustainable city regions
  • 15mC topic 3 – Evidence for the urban mobility transition: data and indicators for effective decision-making

Positive Energy Districts Transition Pathway (PED),

  • PED topic 1 – Local PEDs in a multi-level perspective
  • PED topic 2 – Towards the climate-neutral city: PEDs, system integration and urban strategies
  • PED topic 3 – Managing the urban energy transition: data management and decision support systems

Circular Urban Regenerative Economies Transition Pathway (CUE)

  • CUE topic 1 – Creating a new paradigm for urban water cycles
  • CUE topic 2 – Circular models for regenerating, repurposing, protecting and conserving urban space for biodiversity
  • CUE topic 3 – Multi-city strategies for circular urban economy monitoring and management
