Introduction
Advisory Committee (AC) shall give advice to the Steering Committee and Working Groups with a great network and knowledge of both policy processes, climate change issues and stakeholder issues. It is composed of representatives that have an added value to the platform in terms of networks, knowledge of climate change, energy transition issues and policy planning and financial attraction opportunities. The committee consists of many national and international experts.
Advisory Committee Meeting, 30th Apr 2024
The first meeting of the advisory committee in 2024 was held at the kick off meeting on the expansion of the MLGP4Climate. It delved into emerging trends in collaboration and strategies to empower municipalities, while also exploring avenues to support municipalities in developing innovative ideas for Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan (SECAP) implementation. The session commenced with a discussion on MLGP4Climate's Impact Assessment methodology. The participants engaged in a comprehensive dialogue focused on enhancing collaboration and strengthening municipalities.
Advisory Committee Meeting, 28th Aug 2024
The 2nd Advisory Committee of the MLGP4Climate held its meeting focusing on energy transition and climate change with the participation of naitonal and international experts, scientific institutions, climate initiatives, business representatives, NGOs. The discusssion session of them meeting included valuable discussions on how the platform can provide support to attract more financing, increase cooperation between municipalities and international partners, develop joint projects to achieve climate goals and secure additional financing. It also focused on how the MLGP4Climate platform can be more beneficial to municipalities and how it can be developed to better meet their needs.
