Bayraklı is a dynamic region located in the heart of İzmir and gained district status in 2008. According to 2023 data, it has a population of 300,946 people. Bayraklı, which has great historical importance, is home to Tepekule Mound, which is considered the first settlement of ancient İzmir (Smyrna). This ruin site is an indicator of the rich cultural heritage of the district.
