Efeler Municipality initially developed its Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan (SECAP) in 2022 and, as of 2025, is in the process of revising and reassessing this framework through the preparation of SECAP 2025. In parallel, the Municipality actively implements zero waste initiatives, promotes sustainable waste management practices, and organizes a range of activities including conferences, educational programs, assessments, and the development of draft local projects aimed at addressing climate change. The core mission of Efeler Municipality is to enhance climate resilience through innovative practices that ensure environmental sustainability and foster active community engagement, thereby contributing to the creation of a sustainable and livable urban environment.
