Farm Egnatia Kiraz Çiftliği

Farm Egnatia is a small-scale family farm located in the İpsala district of Edirne Province, in the Thrace region of Turkey's Marmara Region. It operates as part of the İpsala Women's Cooperative. While cherry production is the farm’s main focus, it also promotes sustainable agricultural practices, nature-based learning opportunities, and rural life skills. The farm organizes skill-sharing, cultural exchange, and educational activities for visitors and volunteers.

The organization aims to contribute actively to discussions and initiatives around the future of agriculture in the context of climate action, the role of youth in rural development, and agroecological transformation. Its projects primarily focus on climate action, rural sustainability, the transition to renewable energy, food security, and youth empowerment. It is also engaged in sharing agroecological knowledge and building climate-resilient communities.

Farm Egnatia works to develop ecological production models that support regional resilience and actively responds to both local and international project calls. It has collaborated with the İpsala Women’s Cooperative and the TEMA Foundation in projects centered on sustainable agriculture and environmental awareness in rural areas.

Through its volunteer-based program called "Village Academy", the organization conducts a variety of activities and training sessions for youth and women, focusing on nature-based learning, agroecological production, and climate resilience.

On 7 May 2025, Farm Egnatia participated in the workshop titled “Empowering Women on SECAPs Through Women’s Cooperatives”, held in Istanbul as part of the EU4 Energy Transition: Covenant of Mayors in the Western Balkans and Türkiye initiative.
