Green Collar Women Association

GCWA aims to promote gender equality in the Turkish energy sector by increasing the visibility and representation of female experts and employees, supporting their career advancement and income growth, and ensuring equal opportunities for women in decision-making positions. The organization strives to eliminate gender-based discrimination and ensure that female employees receive the same level of status, authority, responsibility, and pay as their male counterparts in similar positions within the sector. According to GCWA, empowering women in the workforce could result in more efficient businesses and a greater representation of women in the sector. This, in turn, could contribute to the achievement of all UN Sustainable Development Goals, leading to more accurate investment decisions and an increase in the gross national product, ultimately benefiting the welfare of Türkiye. To achieve these goals, the GCWA Board of Directors collaborates with various stakeholders, including public institutions, non-profit organizations, and private sector representatives. The Board primarily contacts and cooperates with relevant Turkish ministries, municipalities, civil society organizations, and the private sector.
