Komşu Dayanışma Gıda ve İşletme Kooperatifi

The Cooperative was established in February 2020 by 7 women. It currently has 27 members.

Komşu Dayanışma Food and Enterprise Cooperative is not only a consumer cooperative but also a community movement that aims to strengthen neighborhood solidarity, support fair and healthy food production, and contribute to local economies. Guided by the belief that “building a shared economy in neighborhoods makes it possible to shape the future through responsible consumption and production,” the cooperative carries out its activities accordingly.

Rooted in local producers, the cooperative contributes to the empowerment of small-scale enterprises and aims to promote collective production and consumption practices.

Projects such as “Social Solidarity Economies” and “Neighborhood Kitchens” serve these goals. Supporting women's solidarity and employment, as well as promoting the education of girls, are among the cooperative’s key priorities.

The cooperative also organizes awareness-raising trainings and events that support local economies and producers.

Social solidarity economies are seen not only as an alternative economic model but also as a tool for social transformation. It is believed that the support provided to local producers directly contributes to community well-being. In line with this approach, the cooperative aims to keep supply chains as short as possible, reduce the distance between producers and consumers, and foster local development.
