Konak Municipality aims;
1. To carry out efforts to combat climate change in Konak district, to follow up and coordinate national andinternational studies in this field, to prepare and implement local projects; To prepare Konak SECAP and to ensure the implementation of mitigation and adaptation actions.
2. Zero Waste: To carry out the separation, transportation and disposal of all recyclable waste in our district; reducing the amount of waste in total.
3. Planning and carrying out environmental audits arising from relevant environmental legislation; Making analysis and field studies when necessary.
Strategic Partnership for Awareness, Climate and Environment (SPACE)-EU City Twinning II- TR2020/DG/01/A2-01/143: The aim of the project is to provide experience and knowledge with local governments in the EU through the Environmental Awareness Center to be established within the scope of the project. Information sharing will be provided to support Konak Municipality in producing new projects in the field of climate change by adapting best practices.
Localization-Localization Project for Adaptation to Climate Change- EU&Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change-EU-CCAGP/055Climate Change Adaptation Grant Program: Development of a participation-based climate change adaptation strategy for Konak district; Increasing the resilience of sectors operating in Konak district against climate change; It is aimed to transform this process into a national and international knowledge and experience sharing network with innovative digital channels that will guide local strategies.
