Ödemiş is the largest district of İzmir, located to the east of Bozdağ, in the Küçük Menderes Delta. It ranks as the fifth most developed district in the province. The district has a population of 132,942 and covers an area of 1,082 km². Ödemiş consists of 99 neighbourhoods, 74 of which are classified as rural. The area is notable for its cultural heritage and natural resources.

Renewable Energy (Solar): All permits and approvals for the 960 kWe ground-mounted solar power plant project have been obtained from national institutions. The project is currently awaiting the tender process for installation.
