Announcement: Multi-Level Governance Platform Steering & Advisory Committee Meeting

Event Overview:

We are pleased to announce the upcoming Multi-Level Governance Platform Steering & Advisory Committee Meeting (MLGP4Climate SC&AC), a key event within the EU4 Energy Transition: Covenant of Mayors in the Western Balkans and Türkiye (EU4ETTR) project. This important meeting will take place on August 28, 2024, at the Clarion Hotel Golden Horn in İstanbul.

Background:

The Türkiye Multi-Level Governance Platform for Climate Actions (MLGP4Climate) was established under the EU4 Energy Transition project, led by the Lithuanian Central Project Management. MLGP4Climate is a pioneering initiative designed to support sustainable energy and climate actions across Türkiye. By fostering collaboration among stakeholders at various levels, the platform aims to enhance decision-making processes and drive effective results in the transition to decarbonized, climate-resilient, and energy-efficient municipalities.

Event Objectives:

• Present the MLGP4Climate platform network and its role in climate actions and energy transition.
• Share best practices and insights from international and national platform members.
• Facilitate high-level discussions with the Steering Committee to strategize finance attraction and long-term implementation.

Expected Outputs:

The meeting is expected to strengthen the MLGP4Climate platform's partnerships and enhance stakeholder cooperation on climate actions. Additionally, the event will raise awareness by showcasing successful practices from various cities.

Participants:

The event will bring together Steering Committee and Advisory Committee members, as well as Mayors and high-level representatives from MLGP member municipalities.
