How Can Your Municipality Join GCoM?
Local governments play a crucial role in the fight against climate change! By joining the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy (GCoM), your municipality can become part of a global movement for sustainable climate action. Here’s how to join in just three simple steps:
1.    Municipal Council Decision 🏛️
The Commitment Document is presented to the municipal council, and the decision to sign the Covenant is approved.
2.    Authorization and Signature ✍️
The Mayor or an authorized representative signs the Commitment Document, confirming participation in the Covenant.
3.    Submission and Confirmation ✅
The signed document and council decision are sent to TRhelpdesk@globalcovenantofmayors.eu. Then, the GCoM Help Desk uploads the information to the online system. Once the process is completed, the municipality receives an confirmation email.
By joining GCoM, your municipality gains access to valuable support for sustainable energy and climate action, including guidance on preparing and implementing a SECAP.
