Projects
Unused chemical barrels within Didim Municipality have been upcycled into seating units, which are now utilized during various events. Recycling bins placed on the beaches have been created by repurposing old pool filters and pipes collected from hotels. Additionally, special cigarette butt bins have been designed using materials gathered from scrap yards.
A discarded bicycle found in the trash was transformed into a “compost bike,” which produces compost as the pedals are turned—serving as an innovative example to promote environmental awareness. To instill environmental consciousness in children, basketball hoop-shaped trash bins were designed, allowing waste to be thrown in as if shooting a basket.
Environmental education and awareness programs are regularly conducted for public institutions. Furthermore, food waste collected from schools, hotels, and markets
is processed at a municipal facility and converted into pet food for the local animal shelter.
