Melikgazi Grant Project Completion Ceremony

EU4ETTR:Meli̇kgazi̇ Grant Project Completion Ceremony Was Held On 7-8 May 2024!

Melikgazi Municipality launched the Solar City Project, showcasing the power of renewable energy in Kayseri, Türkiye. Melikgazi completed this groundbreaking project with the grant provided by the Central Project Management Agency of Lithuania. 

Under the EU4 Energy Transition: Covenant of Mayors initiative, Melikgazi has transformed its roofs and landscape with solar power plants on, mini vehicles converted to electric, alongside two solar-powered charging stations for advancing clean transportation, established an irrigation solar-powered irrigation systems reducing CO2 emissions and paving the way for a brighter tomorrow. With the establishment of solar power plants, Melikgazi will produce 234,696.12 kWh of electric energy, preventing a whopping 100.92 tons per year of CO2 emissions.
