The Global EbA Fund is inviting innovative and catalytic proposals that help overcome the systemic barriers preventing Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA) from being scaled in climate-vulnerable countries.
The call focuses on accelerating the use of circularity strategies in building renovations to reduce resource use, life-cycle energy consumption and GHG emissions. It supports the development and real-life application of integrated circularity and life-cycle assessment frameworks to enable net-zero whole-life carbon buildings.
Funding for large scale demonstration of advanced on site robotic and automated construction and renovation techniques, enabling faster, safer, low carbon and cost efficient building processes. The call supports projects that deploy robotics, automation and digital construction technologies directly on construction sites to accelerate Europe’s transition toward climate neutral and resource efficient buildings.
Funding supports the development of next-generation climate and sustainability scenarios to better understand interactions and trade-offs across climate, environmental and socio-economic objectives.
The project focuses on improving the understanding, modelling and prediction of extreme climate and weather events and their impacts in a changing climate. It will strengthen the ability to predict individual, compound and cascading hazards, supporting better preparedness, early warning systems and climate resilience.
The call focuses on understanding the drivers and impacts of maladaptation to climate change and identifying ways to prevent and correct maladaptive outcomes. It supports the development of practical assessment methods, tools and guidelines to enable more effective, sustainable and equitable climate adaptation.
