Scope. he topic focuses on demonstrating zero-emission buses and coaches in regional, national and transnational long-distance operations. Projects should test new vehicle and fleet operation models, smart fleet management, charging solutions and shared charging hubs, while addressing seasonal and operational demands. Passenger comfort, safety, accessibility and intermodality should also be improved.
Sectors. Public transport, long-distance bus and coach services, electric mobility, vehicle manufacturing, charging infrastructure, fleet management, smart charging, energy management and sustainable passenger transport.
Eligible applicants. Legal entity (including from Türkiye).
Key requirements. Projects should demonstrate zero-emission long-distance mobility solutions in real operating conditions and integrate the results into regular passenger transport operations. They should address reliable vehicle operation, charging infrastructure, fleet management, new business models, passenger comfort and intermodality, with recommendations and best practices supporting replication across Europe. Projects are also expected to contribute to the 2ZERO Partnership KPIs.
Funding & duration. Funding rate up to 100% under Horizon Europe rules. Project budgets: 13,5 mln. Eur. Project duration: 36–48 months.
