Scope. Supports cooperation between civil society organisations and local authorities through peer learning, capacity building, exchange programmes, networking, and locally implemented initiatives. The second edition encourages projects addressing climate adaptation and digitalisation, alongside other local development challenges.
Sectors. Climate adaptation and resilience, sustainable local development, participatory urban development, community engagement, digitalisation, and exchange of local practices and experience.
Eligible applicants. Primarily non-profit civil society organisations, associations, foundations and cooperatives. Local authorities and municipalities can participate as partners in cooperation with eligible civil-society organisations.
Key requirements. Projects should involve meaningful cooperation between civil society and local authorities and address a relevant local development challenge. International cooperation, knowledge exchange, capacity building and practical local activities are central elements of the programme. Climate-related proposals should demonstrate relevance to local climate adaptation and resilience.
Funding & duration.Subgrant support is provided for jointly developed projects. The exact grant amount, project duration and detailed eligibility conditions for the 2027 second round have not yet been published.
