Call for local and regional climate and biodiversity action projects
The call focuses on supporting local and regional projects that address climate change and biodiversity conservation, including climate mitigation, climate adaptation, protection of natural carbon sinks and biodiversity.

Scope: IKI Small Grants funds local climate and biodiversity action projects implemented at
local, sub‑national or national level. Projects must focus on one or more of the following IKI
funding areas: mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions, adaptation to climate change impacts,
conserving natural carbon sinks, especially reducing deforestation and forest degradation,
conserving biological diversity.
Sectors: Climate mitigation, climate adaptation, forest conservation, ecosystem restoration,
sustainable land use. biodiversity conservation, local environmental governance, sustainable
resource management.
Eligible applicants: Non‑profit organisations (including from Türkiye).
Key requirements: Project must address one or more IKI funding areas. Strong implementation
focus (not research-only). Clear impact on target groups. Solid financial management system.
Funding & duration: Funding rate up to 100% under IKI rules. Project budgets: 60.000-
200.000 Eur. Project duration: 12–24 months.
